LFA Law Book

LFA Law Book

Since becoming effective January 1, 1973, the Louisiana Consumer Credit Law has been looked upon as the major comprehensive legislation on the subject of consumer credit transactions in Louisiana.  Since its adoption, the Consumer Credit Law has had several clarifications and changes in various sessions of the Louisiana Legislature in an attempt to keep the Law modern and contemporary.

It is the intention of the Louisiana Finance Association to make this publication available not only to its members, but to all financial institutions, businesses and individuals.  As statutes are enacted, amended or repealed by the Legislature, new pages reflecting these changes will be printed.
